What size is a ModoPad desk mat?

36 by 18 inches, or 914 by 457 millimetres. That fits a full-size keyboard and the whole sweep of a mouse on the same surface, with room either side.

What is it made of?

A 100% polyester micro-weave surface bonded to a natural rubber non-slip base. The print is dye-sublimated, so the ink is bonded into the fibre rather than sitting on top of it.

Are the edges stitched?

Yes. The edge is stitched and the corners are rounded. This is the part most mats in this price range get wrong - a serged or heat-cut edge unravels at the front-left corner, which is exactly where your wrist sits.

Will the print crack, peel or fade?

No. Dye-sublimation bonds the ink into the polyester fibre. There is no printed layer sitting on the surface to crack or peel with use.

Is it machine washable?

No. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry flat. Machine washing and tumble drying separate the rubber base from the fabric, and that damage is permanent.

Does it work with any mouse sensor?

Yes. The surface is a cloth weave, which both optical and laser sensors track on without any calibration step.

Will it slide around on my desk?

No. The base is natural rubber with a non-slip texture. It stays put through low-DPI sweeps and lifts away clean without leaving residue.

How long does an order take?
